Obsequies of Mrs. Jane Budge.  Yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock the last sad rites were paid to the remains of Mrs. Jane Budge, who departed this life on Monday night at 12 o’clock, in the 68th year of her age.  Mrs. Budge was born in Southronaldshay, Orkney, Scotland, and came to Grand Forks in the year 1879, where she has since resided.  In life, Mrs. Budge was a true Christian and a most estimable lady, and practiced those virtues which belong only to true womanhood, and which are the emblem of purity and goodness.  In her death a kind mother and a good friend are gone.  She leaves four sons in this city to grieve over her loss, viz:  John, William, George and Henry.  Her funeral took place yesterday afternoon from her late home.  Services were held at the residence of Wm. Budge by Rev. N. W. Cary, pastor of the Presbyterian church of the city, and her funeral was one of the most largely attended ever witnessed here.  (Grand Forks Daily Herald, Thursday Morning, November 22, 1883, Volume 5, Number 19, Page 1)
