First Cargo Delivery in 1928

First Cargo of Air Merchandise Brought to City.  Miss Madora Knox, of the Knox Millinery, returned from the Twin Cities on Wednesday by airplane, bringing with her what is believed to be the first load of merchandise ever brought into this city by the air route.  The actual flying time was said to be three and one-half hours.  C. E. Cheney, local aviator, piloted the plane.  A stop was made at Alexandria, Minn., for lunch.  (Grand Forks Herald, Friday, October 19, 1928, Volume XLVII, Number 296, Page 5)
