Invitations have been issued for the banquet and dance to be given at the Gorden on Monday night next.  The affair promises to be grand and we have no doubt will be taken advantage of by the citizens of Grand Forks.  Hall’s orchestra of eight pieces will enliven the occasion with fine music.  Mr. Gorden desires to state that if anyone has been omitted in the matter of invitations it is entirely an oversight.  (Grand Forks Daily Herald, Thursday Evening, December 26, 1889, Volume XV, Number 355, Page 4)
